Ethanol Emitter
With characteristic of ethanol which is effective in reducing the growth of microorganisms (especially mold),
ethanol emitter helps to increase shelf life.
It is effective against mold-prone foods such as bakery products and helps food products keep their moisture content, so they can effectively maintain the soft and moist texture of bakery products.
ALVO®
ALVO is an ethanol emitter classified as a food additive which is put in food packaging to maintain shelf life. It is suitable for bakery products.

ALVO is a small sachet made from a special film containing ethanol inside.
When an ALVO sachet is put in food packaging and sealed, ethanol is gradually emitted from the sachet to inhibit the growth of microorganisms e.g., bacteria, mold, especially effective against mold. Therefore, it helps extend shelf life of food products and is safe for consumers.

The exterior of ALVO sachets is made of PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) and is resistant to water and oil.

Application:
Put an ALVO (ethanol emitter) sachet inside of the food packaging
and seal it.
The ethanol vapor will be gradually emitted from the ALVO sachet
until it fills the inside of the packaging. It is effective against mold.
Therefore, it helps extend shelf life of food products.

FAQ
The content of ALVO is silica gel (silicon dioxide) powder soaked with ethanol. ALVO packaging is polyethylene terephthalate (PET) that meets food container and packaging standards.
Ethanol emitter "ALVO" gradually evaporates alcohol (ethanol) inside food packaging.
Ethanol prevents the growth of microorganisms in food, so it helps to extend shelf life. Especially effective against mold.
ALVO uses safe packaging materials even if consumer accidentally licks or eats it.
Although the packaging materials and components inside are safe, ALVO is not food. Therefore, there is a warning that "Do not eat" on the ALVO sachet.
In case of eating ALVO sachet, the corners of the sachet
can injure the digestive system and other organs. Please immediately see a doctor for diagnosis and treatment.
ALVO can directly contact food. It is safe even when heated with food. The components of ALVO are safe and use standardized packaging.
However, the seal of the ALVO sachet may break when heated.
Please remove ALVO before microwaving.
If the seal is broken due to heat, please be careful not to allow the contents of ALVO to leak out and should dispose of it.
(If the content inside leaks out, the appearance and taste of food will be changed. Please do not eat the food)
No problem at all if refrigerating or freezing.
However, ethanol will be released slower than normal or temporarily stop releasing. The lower temperature makes the growth of mold slower.
Water vapor may cause by temperature change. The amount of water vapor is small when compared to total amount of ethanol. Therefore, there is no effect on the efficiency of ALVO.
Please be careful in storage because water vapor can easily occur when temperature changes suddenly from high to low.
It is safe to store ALVO with food for a long time after it has been opened.
However, ethanol vapor in the sachet will go out and anti-mold effect will be lost. After opening the food packaging, please dispose of it immediately.
After opening the food packaging, ALVO is not reusable. Please dispose of it.
Dispose of it according to the regulation for disposal of plastic waste because packaging material is plastic.
